Princess Anne man arrested on charges of attempted murder

A Princess Anne man has been arrested for allegedly shooting at two people in Salisbury.
According to court documents, on Monday, Salisbury Police were called to Americas Best Value Inn on North Salisbury Boulevard for reports of a man with a handgun. When police got to the scene, they reportedly spoke with a victim who said that she met with 21-year-old James Hunter when Hunter told her to leave. When the victim and Hunter’s girlfriend reportedly went back into Hunter’s hotel room to get cab fare, Hunter allegedly fired three rounds at the victims as they ran to the front of the inn.
Court documents allege that Hunter was found to have rented a room at the inn for several days, and after an investigation was made into the identity of Hunter, he was reportedly located by Princess Anne Police and arrested.
Court documents show that officers located a shell casing in a stairwell outside of Hunter’s room along with a hole in the metal railing.
Hunter was committed to Wicomico Detention Center on Wednesday on two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of attempted second degree murder, two counts of first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, charges of handgun on a person, and firearm use felonious violent crime.
