Officials: Man arrested after trying to flee in stolen car

Police say a man has been arrested after he was reportedly found with a stolen car.
According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, around 3:07PM, deputies found a stolen car on West Road in Salisbury. The car was reported stolen through Salisbury Police. Deputies assigned to the CAT unit tried to conduct a traffic stop of the car, but the driver, later identified as 19 year old Terrell Louis Smullen-Parsons, did not yield and reportedly tried to flee from deputies, in the stolen car.
After a short pursuit through the surrounding area, officials say, Smullen-Parsons drove the stolen car into a drive way of a home on Seminole Boulevard in Salisbury. Smullen-Parsons then reportedly left the car, leaving it in drive, and fled on foot. The car continued to travel forward and ultimately struck another parked car and a wooden handicap ramp causing minor property damage. Deputies were able to apprehend Smullen-Parsons after a short foot pursuit.
After deputies searched the stolen car, they found marijuana, a bag of fifteen oxycodone prescription pills and $920. The items were seized. Deputies say, Smullen-Parsons will be charged with motor vehicle theft, controlled dangerous substance possession with intent to distribute, fleeing and eluding, driving without a license, and other related traffic and criminal charges. He will then be transferred to the custody of the Wicomico County Detention Center.
