Murray’s Big Night Lifts Milford Over Cape

The Milford boys basketball team picked up a big home win Tuesday night when they defeated Cape Henlopen 54-49. The win improves the Buccaneers to 3-1, while the loss drops the Vikings to 2-1.

It was back and forth all night between Milford and Cape Henlopen with many lead changes, but nobody was really pulling away enough late ever to be sure. Brion Murray for the Buccaneers was leading his team, and his team was looking to him for answers late in the game and he gave it to them. Nearing the end of the game it was very close and players from both sides were stepping up Izaiah Dadzie and Randy Rickards from Cape Henlopen were doing everything they could for their team late in the game. At the end of the night, the Vikings just didn't have anybody to stop Brion Murray as he was finding open teammates for easy points and also finding the bucket for himself.

Cape Henlopen returns to work on Friday when they host Sussex Tech while Milford host Lake Forest on Thursday.
