Montanez’s 22 paces St. Thomas More past Delmarva Christian

The St. Thomas More boys basketball team picked up a nice road win Thursday afternoon when they defeated Delmarva Christian 68-25. The win improves the Ravens to 3-2, while the loss drops the Royals to 3-5.

The Ravens would be on the attack early on. Greg Bloodsworth would knock down a couple long balls in the first quarter to get it started before they were able to get out in the open court to showcase their athletes. Eric Montanez would throw down a couple high light dunks, while Elias Revelle would do the same. The Royals in the early going though didn't back down. They would get an and 1 underneath from Andrew Workman, while Josh Vanhof would add 3 points in the opening quarter to help the home team be down just 10 after the first. But the Ravens offense would explode in the second half. They would force several turnover with their press, resulting in easy baskets the other way. The lead would stretch to over 30 by halftime as St. Thomas More grabbed control of the game. Montanez would then put the game away in the third where he scored 10 of his game high 22.

St. Thomas More returns to work on December 29th when they face Archbishop Ryan, while Delmarva Christian travels to Salisbury School on January 17th.
