Monday Memo – December 5, 2016

MONDAY MEMO
     TO:  ALL STAFF
FROM:  KATHLEEN
DATE: 5 DECEMBER 2016

GOOD NEWS!

If you were able to attend the Full Staff Meeting on Friday, you heard about it first hand from the Lanes. Our new KA Band Truck is built and ready to go. Their driver will head out for our station tomorrow. We’ll get that rascal logo’d right away and out in the market just as soon as we get our Team fully trained on its uses. It’s an amazing piece of advanced technology that will allow us increase our on-the-spot coverage of breaking news without risk of our signal being swamped out by cell phone usage.

A BIG THANK YOU from Traffic Manager, Jessica Simpson to the Master Control Operators: “Great Job! To all for the little to NO discreps the last several days!”

STATION FREEBIES!

• Last week’s winner of the Crime Watch Daily Flashlight was Jaime Roberts. This week, we will again give away a Crime Watch Daily Flashlight/Gadget. You can sign up for your chance to win on the bulletin board across from the time clock. Per usual procedure, we will draw for a winner Friday morning and the announcement made in the next Monday Memo

DUMPSTER DAY is scheduled for Wednesday morning, rain or shine. Check out your workspaces for anything that should go and set it out into the hallway for pickup.

OUT IN THE COMMUNITY

• Friday evening was the annual lighting of the Christmas tree on the Plaza and the Downtown was filled with lots of kids, parents, grandparents and every age in between who came down to kick off the start of the Holiday Season. 47 ABC carried the tree lighting live for those unable to physically make it to the downtown.
