Millsboro Police Department raise over $3,000 through ‘No Shave’ fundraiser

The Police Department presented a check in the amount of $3,230 to the Millsboro Grace Methodist Church.
Funds are through their "No Shave" fundraiser. During the months of October through December, the Police Department grew out their facial hair in order to raise money to purchase gifts for families in need this holiday season.
Usually, officers have strict guidelines regarding facial hair. But this exception allowed the officers to donate $20 a month during this three month period.
Chief Brian Calloway tells us getting their grooming standards waived for those three months was a great way to give back to their community.
Chief Calloway says they donated the money to Grace Methodist Church because they have the resources to be able to purchase the gifts for the needy families and also locate needy families in the Millsboro area.
The Police Department says they are already planning for the "No Shave" fundraiser next year.
