Man found dead in backyard of a Dover home; DSP investigating

Members of the Delaware State Police say they are currently conducting a death investigation after a 24-year-old man was found dead Tuesday morning in Dover.
According to the report, around 7:30AM, troopers responded to a home on Aspen Drive in Pinewood Acres in Dover, after a 9-1-1 call reported an unconscious man laying in the backyard. Kent County Emergency Medical Services then responded to the scene, and pronounced the victim dead.
Officials say that the Delaware Division of Forensic Science was contacted and removed the victim to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives have responded to the scene and will take over the investigation, as foul play is apparently suspected. Detectives report that they are continuing their investigation by conducting interviews and collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident. No suspect information has been developed at this time, but more information will be released as they become available.
