Labor statistics show increase in Maryland manufacturing jobs

The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics released data on Friday showing job growth in Maryland.
"This year, Maryland business have created 19,300 new jobs which is due in part to our recent gains in both manufacturing and the leisure and hospitality industry," Maryland Labor Secretary Kelly M. Schulz said.
The report notes Maryland's manufacturing sector grew by 1,100 jobs and the leisure and hospitality sector increased by 2,200 jobs.
The Maryland unemployment rate held at 4.2% in November.
