Harrington Police bag woman on third DUI charge

Harrington Police say they arrested a woman on Friday for DUI after they reportedly saw her driving erratically on Delaware Avenue and Liberty Street.

Upon her arrest, police found that 51-year-old Tammy L. Beaulieu of Harrington had previously been arrested twice for DUI, in 1994 and 2001.

While at the Harrington Police Department for processing, Beaulieu complained of a pain in her side and was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital.

Hospital staff executed a search warrant for a blood sample, but once officers and staff left the room, they say Beaulieu stole the vial of blood and tried to hide it. Police found the blood and Bealieu was sent back to the Harrington Police Department.

Beaulieu is charged with third offence DUI, a charge of hindering prosecution and several lesser charges.

She was released on $4,525 bond.
