Decatur punishes Mardela to stay perfect

The Stephen Decatur boys basketball team kept their perfect start to the season going Wednesday night when they rolled past Mardela for a 78-36 win. The win improves the Seahawks to 6-0, while the loss drops the Warriors to 0-6.

The Seahawks would come out with a bang to start. Keve Aluma would throw down a monster dunk on the second possession of the game to spark a 11-0 start to the game. Once the big man got going, outside shots began to drop for Ja'Ron Johnson and Gary Briddell as the lead quickly ballooned to over 20. The Warriors would try and hang around as Tyler McCoy would attack the basket, getting a couple shots to fall while earning some trips to the free throw line. But Decatur continued to push in the second half as Kevon Voyles would have a big third quarter to put the game away.
