Winter WonderFEST to kick off in Lewes

A new event will soon be lighting up Cape Henlopen State Park just in time for the holidays.

Members from Festival of Cheer, a non-profit organization, have been hard at work setting up for the first ever Winter WonderFEST in Lewes. This event has two attractions,  a two mile drive-thru light display at the state park and a Christmas Village at the Cape May Lewes Ferry terminal. Organizers of this event tell us proceeds of this family friendly event will benefit county.

“What’s unique about this event is that all the proceeds of this event will be distributed to Sussex county non-profits,” says Peter Briicotto, the Executive Director of Winter WonderFEST.

The light display will begin this Saturday and the Christmas village will open Friday November 25th.
