Washington High School has lost another principal, school officials confirm.

Dr. Pamela Patterson has announced her resignation as principal.

Leo Lawson, Supervisor of Public Relations for Somerset County Public Schools, tells 47ABC Dr. Patterson’s last day will be Tuesday.

When asked, Lawson cited “personal reasons” as to why Dr. Patterson is resegining.

We’re told staff members have been informed and briefed of this news by Superintendent John Gaddis.

Letters to parents have also been mailed out explaining Patterson’s resignation. Lawson says parents should receive the letters by Tuesday morning and can also expect “robocalls” from the Board of Education on Monday.

In March, school officials confirmed former principal Sidney Hankerson had been placed on leave; however, they were unable to explain exactly why due to privacy reasons.

More information is expected to be released to the press by Tuesday.
