USDA taking applications for conservation grants

$25 million in grant money will soon be available through the USDA. They’re now taking applications for Conservation Innovation Grants. We’re told the money will be used to fund new technologies or approaches that can address some of our nation’s pressing natural resource concerns, such as water and air quality.
For instance, back In 2012, the University of Delaware received nearly $1 million for Innovative Approaches to Capture Nitrogen and Air Pollutant Emissions from Poultry Operations.
Native American tribes, state and local units of government, businesses, organizations and even individuals are eligible to submit proposals. They are due by January 9th.
