According to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, police were on a manhunt in West Ocean City for a woman suspected of stabbing a man earlier this week.

WCSO Spokesman Lt. Ed Schreier told 47 ABC, earlier this week, 50-year-old Kimberly Joy Hinkley and a man got into an argument and she stabbed him. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. The victim is a West Ocean City resident.

Hinkley was charged with attempted 2nd degree homicide, 1st degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Around noon on Friday, Hinkley took off running on Ocean Gateway near Jerry Mack Drive when she saw an officer in a police vehicle. The officer recognized her as Hinkley, who is wanted on a warrant.

Members of the WCSO emphasize that Hinkley has NOT been apprehended yet.
