Two men arrested in Dagsboro after reported illegal drug investigation

Brandon Garrison, 33, Dagsboro and Marcos Ortlip, 24, Georgetown

Police say two people have been arrested after an investigation into the illegal sales of narcotics from a home on Gum Tree Road in Dagsboro.

According to Delaware State Police on Monday around 5:25PM, the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, along with Probation and Parole Officers from the Georgetown office, responded to Gum Tree Road to make an administrative probation search to the home of 33-year-old Brandon Garrison, who is currently on on Level 3 probation after a 2015 drug conviction.

When troopers and probation officers got to the home, Garrison and 24-year-old Marcos Ortlip of Georgetown, were both arrested without incident outside of the home. Police say, a search of the home found 620 bags (9.3 grams) of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and over $6,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

Police say Garrison and Ortlip were taken back to Troop four where they were both charged with possession of a controlled substance in a tier five quantity (heroin), possession with intent to deliver heroin, second degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  They were both reportedly committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $101,500 secured bond.
