The 8th Annual Turkey Trek 5K had the biggest turnout yet

In Salisbury Thanksgiving morning, the 8th annual Turkey Trek took place at Pemberton Park.
The 5K takes runners through the park’s trails and forests.
At the end of the finish line, runners were able to enjoy a holiday pie after their hard work.
Registration costed $30 on site and $25 for pre-registration.
All of the money will go directly towards Pemberton Historical Park’s environmental education programs.
Wicomico County’s Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Assistant Director of Marketing and PR, Vanessa Junkin tells 47 ABC that this year they had more than 400 runners ranging from all different age groups, leading to the biggest turkey trek ever.
Junkin says they hope to continue to make this event bigger and better next year.
