Strong second half pushes Wildcats to state semis

The Delmar Wildcats marched deeper into the DIAA playoffs on Saturday afternoon, defeating Milford 4-0.

Ashlynn Carr would get the scoring started for Delmar, connecting on a penalty stroke midway thru the first half. The Wildcats had a bunch of great chances to extend that lead but were denied multiple opportunities by Milford junior keeper Leah Barnett, sending the teams into the half with a 1-0 score.

In the second half, the Wildcats broke loose. Peyton Kemp would score back to back goals to extend the ‘Cats lead to 3-0. Freshman Logan Walls would score the final goal, getting a rebounded shot and putting into the back of the cage.
