Stevensville man sentenced on child porn charges in Queen Anne’s County

Officials say a man has been sentenced in Queen Anne’s County on child pornography charges.
According to officials, a Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court judge sentenced Dennis Telak, of Stevensville to 10 years all but nine months suspended in connection to possession of child pornography charges.
The sentencing reportedly stems from an investigation that began in November 2015 when Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division investigators reportedly found out about a man downloading known child pornography online. Police say, investigators were able to find out the home involved and a search and seizure warrant was given out where two computers were seized including one that belonged to Telak.
Police say the computer contained several videos of child pornography, and Telak was interviewed and admitted to downloading child pornography online by peer to peer networks.
Officials say Telak was charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography and 20 counts of possession of child pornography.
Telak reportedly pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography in September, and was sentenced on November 1.
Officials say that Telak will serve nine months with five years of probation and will have to register as a tier one sex offender.
