Stabbing during Queen Anne’s football game

According to Queen Anne’s Sheriff’s Office,  50-year-old Rodney O’Neal Wesson of Baltimore and Cecil County was attending his son’s football game at Queen Anne’s High School when Wesson and his estranged wife got into an argument.

A third party, male friend of the estranged wife, attempted to intervene when Rodney Wesson stabbed the male friend in the chest, who was then flown to Shock Trauma.

Rodney Wesson has been charged with attempted murder 2nd degree, assault, reckless endangerment and deadly weapon with intent to injure. 

He is currently being held at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center on no bail.

Police say the victim has survived his wound and will most likely be released on Saturday.
