Small Business Saturday gives back to local businesses in a big way

After Black Friday, shoppers can expect for another shopping spree to support local businesses for Small Business Saturday in a big way.

Six years ago, American Express launched the first ever Small Business Saturday, marking the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

This day is to celebrate the “Shop Small” movement to drive shoppers to local businesses across the country.

Last year alone about 95 million people shopped on this day across the country.

Salisbury is also hoping shoppers will support their local businesses from downtown to main street.

One downtown shop, Kuhn’s Jewelers, which is Salisbury’s oldest jewelry store, is prepping for the big day by promoting coupons and specials that will run until Christmas.
