Reported armed home invasion in Bridgeville

Members of the Delaware State Police say a home invasion took place in the early hours of Wednesday at a home on Windy Lane.

Troopers say just before 6:00 A.M., the suspect confronted 60-year-old male and a 42-year-old female inside the home, and demanded they hand over their cell phones and car keys.

Police say the suspect then fled the house with their belongings in an unknown direction.

State Police describe the suspect as a male with a small build, wearing a mask and gloves, armed with an unknown type handgun.

Police believe the home could have been targeted.
