Police: 1 charged after anti-Trump protest in Baltimore

(AP) – Police say they’ve charged one woman who was detained as hundreds of protesters displeased with Donald Trump’s election as president marched through Baltimore.

Police announced in a statement Friday that they detained two men and one woman Thursday night during the protest that attracted about 600 people.

Protesters marched downtown to the Inner Harbor and then to the stadium, where the Ravens were hosting the Cleveland Browns for Thursday Night Football. Traffic was brought to a standstill, but the protest was peaceful.

Police say 25-year-old Stephanie Applegate of Lutherville was charged with failure to obey a lawful order from a police officer and taken to the Central Booking and Intake Center. The two men were later released.
