Pocomoke Boys Soccer State Title Preview

Pocomoke boys soccer is finally back near the top of the 1A as they punched their ticket to the State Title game with a 2-0 win over Patterson Mill. The Warriors are now just one win away from bringing the storied program’s 9th championship home.

But it’s been a long time since the Warriors have gotten this far, having last won the title in 2008. This years team features three seniors including Gus Enriquez, Noah Schoolfield and Luke Speta. The Warriors have seen limited success in the post season the past few years, making it the regional title last season, while making the state semifinals the year before.

All that stands in the Warriors way now from adding another banner, is a win against Pikesville. The Panthers went just 5-6-1 during the regular season, but have caught fire in the playoffs during their run. Pikesville won their 3 games by a total of 9-2, including a 3-2 overtime win in the semifinals over Fort Hill.

Game time is set for 2:30 on Saturday.
