Parkside Guts Out 5 Set Win Over Wi-Hi

It took til the 5th Set before the Parkside volleyball could pull it out, but the Rams topped Wi-Hi 3-2 to advance to the second round of the state tournament. The Rams will now face top seeded Queen Anne’s.

The Rams came out ready to go, jumping out to a big lead in the first set. Lauren Johnson’s tough serves set the tempo as they would close out the set. Parkside continued to play well in the second set as Sarah Dapipi started to control the net, coming up with a few cross court kills. With their backs against the walls, the Tribe would respond. Jazmine Moy-Watson would get it started, coming up with a couple blocks from the middle. The Indians would then take the 4th set behind a strong showing from Marressa Worton. Pushed to the 5th set, the Rams would find a way to close it out. Kali Krauss would get a couple critical points to help seal the win.
