Parkside Football Finish Season With Win Over Jags

The Parkside football team finished out their 2016 season with a nice win at home, topping Washington 55-20. The win improves the Rams to 6-4, while the Jaguars finish the year at 2-8.

The Rams came out firing early on. On the second play from scrimmage, Terriq Bivens would take a hand off, cut to the right side and take it to the sideline and go 60 yards to the house for the score. After the Jaguars would be forced, Parkside was right back to work. Andrew Smith dropped back to pass and found Destin Richardson for a 55 yard touchdown strike. Washington wasn’t ready to go away just yet, as they drove down the field and capped off a long drive with a touchdown pass from Eric Ballard to Tyler Poulson form 35 yards out. But the Rams just kept coming. They would add another short touchdown in the second quarter from Bivens to get it started. Parkside then put the game away after they stripped the ball loose at mid field and Brady Smith would take it 50 yards to the house for the score. The Rams defense in the second half would do the rest as the Rams finished the year with the win.
