Olympian set to make a visit to a local gymnastics gym for a good cause

Laurie Hernandez is one of the five gymnastics who won a gold medal for USA gymnastics in Rio this past summer and just recently received more spotlight as the winner in Dancing with the Stars.
Hernandez is planning on making a special trip to Beach Bounders Gymnastics in May to meet with locals and help raise money for the Brook Mulford Medical Fund.
Beach Bounders co-owners, Terri Mueller and Janet Lagowski, tell 47 ABC that Brook Mulford is loved by the community.
She’s been fighting for her life since she was four.
“She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was I believe four or five when she was in preschool and a lot of the community has watched her struggle. She was in remission for a little while she’s currently back in treatment, so we just feel its a great cause to be able to support her, her fight for her health,” explains Mueller.
They believe having Laurie make a guest appearance will really help with the fundraising and show kids that it is possible to chase your dreams.
