Milton mobile home fire under investigation

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office says it is investigating a fire in Milton, Delaware that caused heavy damage a mobile home.
According to the report, the blaze happened on Petty John Road on Sunday around 7:30AM. Firefighters from the Milton Volunteer Fire Company, assisted by Lewes, and Georgetown fire companies, arrived to find fire showing from the mobile home, and were able to put out the flames.
The mobile home was reported to have been occupied at the time of the fire. Officials noted that the occupant was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during an assault which is being investigated by the Delaware State Police.
Deputies from the State Fire Marshal’s office were also called to respond, and state that the origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation. Total damage to the mobile home were estimated at $5000.
