Milford’s Season Ends with loss to Friends School

The Milford Buccaneers lost to the Friends School Quakers in the 2-A semifinals tonight, 8-0.

The Bucs got on the board on the first drive of the first quarter with a David Bowman 98 yard touchdown run. The Friends scored in the second quarter with a safety on a punt snap. Weather conditions worsened in the second half as freezing rain and win picked up. Both teams struggle to move the ball in the air and on the ground. The Quakers took the lead in the fourth quarter on a Caden Oplinger touchdown pass to Reshawn Rice. They went for two after the TD but were unable to capitalize. With less than two minutes left, the Bucs fumbled on their final drive of the game.

Next week, Friends will face St. George’s on the road.
