Man arrested on robbery and assault charges in Princess Anne

Police say a man was arrested on robbery and assault charges in Princess Anne on Sunday.

According to Princess Anne Police, 30-year-old David Eugene Whitehurst, of Princess Anne was arrested for armed robbery which stemmed from an armed robbery incident at the PNC Bank ATM on Mount Vernon Road.

Police say Whitehurst was charged with armed robbery, robbery, first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and theft less than $100. Whitehurst was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $75,000 bond.
 
Whitehurst was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.
