Local radio station gives out turkeys for holidays

Tuesday morning, crews from Magic 98.9 handed out 100 turkeys. Magic 98.9 made the announcement at around 10:15AM and shortly afterwards dozens of cars lined around Perdue Stadium to pick up their turkeys. We’re told donations were made possible by the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, which collaborates with radio stations throughout the country to do this giveaway.

“Folks were so happy today getting the turkey.You hear some of some folks who have had hard times, and we really have to thank Steve Harvey, ” says Dave Hovel, the Operations Director.
