Local community takes part in worldwide Dance For Kindness event

In downtown Salisbury today, people from all over the community came together for an event called Dance For Kindness in hopes to spread kindness.
Jennifer Whittington is the co-leader for Salisbury’s Dance for Kindness.
She tells 47 ABC, Dance for Kindness is happening all over the world today to get people on their feet and moving for a flash mob and freeze mob to raise awareness on spreading kindness.
The worldwide event is sponsored by Life Vest Inside, a non-profit organization out of New York City who’s goal is to bring awareness for kindness by starting events like today.
Whittington thinks people just need a reminder on how easy it can be for people to be kind and she’s hoping the community will see that through dance today.
“Just all getting together and kind of being on the same page and talking and listen to each other and knowing that this is going on all over the world you know and its just one person at a time its that whole ripple effect,” explains Whittington.
Whittington adds its all about uniting people from around the world to encourage everyone to support each other.
