Kent County Ready For Their 1st State Semifinal In 20 Years

The Kent County football team is gearing up for their first state semifinals game in over 20 years as the Trojans will make the trip over to Cumberland on Saturday to take on a 12-0 Fort Hill team. The Trojans have battled through their season to make it just this far though, finishing the regular season with a 5-5 record on their way to earning the 3rd seed in the 1A East Region Playoffs.

But Saturday represents more than just an opportunity to make the state championship. The game could be the final one in the incredible career of Marcquan Greene. The senior has worked his way up the Maryland records books this year and currently sits 6th all-time in career touchdowns at 84. Three more on Saturday would move him into tied for 2nd All-Time.

Kickoff is set for 1pm.
