Juvenile in Harrington arrested for criminal mischief and theft

On November 8, the Harrington Police Department reported that it arrested a 16-year-old.

According to the report, while on patrol, police were called to a home on Railroad Avenue for a theft complaint. When police arrived, they talked to the victim who stated that the juvenile took money out of the home. Police say they questioned this 16-year-old, and found out that they took over $400 out of the home and used it to buy marijuana. Police also reported that the juvenile threw a jar while inside the home and damaged the victim’s television.

The 16-year-old was taken into custody and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing whee they were charged with theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief under $1,000. They were was processed and turned over to the custody of a guardian pending a future court appearance in Kent County Family Court.
