Harrington man arrested after reportedly threatening to kill family a member

On Saturday, members of the Harrington Police Department say they arrested a man after he allegedly threatened someone with a knife.
According to the report, police responded to the 400 Block of Harrington Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Officers went to the home of George F. Richards 3rd, 47, as Richards was reported to be intoxicated and threatened to kill a family member while holding a knife. When police arrived, they found Richards and the victim inside the home, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Through further investigation, police say they found out that Richards was intoxicated and threatened to shoot the victim in the head, and also displayed a large knife toward the victim threatening to stab them.
Richards was taken to the Harrington Police Department for processing where he was charged with aggravated menacing and terroristic threatening. He was then taken to Justice of the Peace Court 3, arraigned, and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $12,500 secured bond.
