Four Virginia men arrested for fishing violations in Ocean City

Police say four Virginians were given citations for fishing violations in Ocean City.
According to Maryland Natural Resources Police, acting on tips from the public, officers made a plain clothes operation Saturday night at the US Route 50 Bridge in Ocean City, and wrote 14 citations to four Virginia men for possession of undersized striped bass, going past the daily catch limit of striped bass, and possession of undersized red drum.
Police say 43-year-old Humberto Oscar Alfaro Ventura of Woodbridge, Virginia, 19-year-old Cesar Isair Callejas Melendez of Manassas, Va, 43-year-old Cruz Emilio Umena Chinchalla of Manassas, Va. and 31-year-old Antonio Leonel Ramirez Riyan of Herndon, Va were all arrested.
Court dates are reportedly set for January in Worcester County District Court, with fines equaling more than $2,200. Officers reportedly got a hold of 27 striped bass and two red drum. All fish were reportedly taken to local shelters.
