Electronic Transaction Systems opening up shop on Eastern Shore

Electronic Transaction Systems, a credit card processing system is making its way to the Eastern Shore. A business development professional with the company tells 47 ABC they’re setting up in Berlin eager to pursue the “mom and pop scene”. We’re told the office will be fully operational within a matter of weeks.

The company develops solutions for merchants, including what they call an e-wallet, which is an app. The whole point of the e-wallet, a singular payment system that could be used all over Ocean City, allowing users to pay for purchases at participating locations with just the scan of a barcode.

Tourists and residents of Ocean City already use this wallet to utilize the transit system. ETS hopes to get more companies on board. The company currently serves more than 45,000 merchants around the world.
