DSP investigating robbery of a pedestrian in Georgetown

The Delaware State Police say they are investigating a robbery of a pedestrian as he was walking through County Seat Garden Development.

According to investigators, the incident happened on Tuesday around 10:40PM as a 35-year-old man was walking westbound on Garden Circle in the area of Maple Street. Officials say a passenger car pulled up behind the man, and three suspects got out and approached him. One of the suspects reportedly hit the victim with with an unknown object and demanded his money, and then the victim tried to fight back. Once one of the suspects forced the victim to the ground, they took his wallet, and then drove off. Officers say that the victim sustained minor injuries but refused on-scene medical attention.

The suspects were described in the report as a white man with a beard, a Hispanic man, and a black man, all wearing dark colored clothing, and it is unknown if the suspects were armed. The vehicle was only described as an older model passenger car, possibly an Oldsmobile or Buick.
