Delaware State Parks admission free on Black Friday

(AP) – Admission to Delaware State Parks is free on Black Friday.

This is the second year Delaware has opened the parks free on the day after Thanksgiving. Admission to the parks normally ranges from $4 to $10 per car.
State officials say state parks gates will open at 8 a.m. Friday. Hiking and biking trails and other activities will be open, though park offices will be closed.
The idea came from the outdoor recreation retailer REI. The retailer is for the second year closing its stores and giving its employees a paid day off to get outdoors. They call the program “Opt Outside.”
