City of Fruitland is performing road rehabilitation work on Main Street and Brown Street

On November 2, 2016, construction has gone underway on two projects in Fruitland, both on Main Street and the intersection of Brown Street to Crown Road.
Main Street is replacing most of the cracked and broken sidewalks as well as milling the road and adding a smooth surface.
On Brown Street, drivers may have noticed the poor conditions of the narrow road.
The city is working on road rehabilitation by taking care of the potholes on the road for a smoother ride. They are also expanding the road.
It was 17 feet to 19 feet and now it will be a continuous 20 foot wide roadway.
Currently they are letting drivers go through as they are trying to keep the road open during construction.
The city is expecting the work to be finished in two to three weeks, just in time before Thanksgiving.
