Central Hurdles Indians On Their Way To Playoffs

The Sussex Central football team is ready to put the regular season behind them as they now get set for the playoffs after their big 54-21 win over Indian River. The win improves the Golden Knights to 7-3, while the loss drops the Indians to 2-8.
The Golden Knights came out on a mission early on. They would march down the field for a touchdown before adding another from Kenrique Nocks. Johnny Morris then has a pick-6 to push the lead to 20 before the first quarter was even over with. The offense continued to roll from there as Central got a 10 yard touchdown run from quarterback Brady Bowden. Indian River finally then was able to break through after they got a 55 yard touchdown run from George Martin. But it was all Central the rest of the way. Morris would take a run in off the right side from 3 yards out before Justin Jones would add another from 13 yards out to push the lead to 34 at the break. Central never looked back in the second half as they closed the game out for the big win.
