Cambridge SD Blows Past Perryville, Advance In States

The Cambridge SD football extended their season by at least one more week after blowing past Perryville 37-7 in the first round of the state tournament Friday night. The Vikings will now host Kent County next Friday.

Cambridge would jump out to a quick lead in the game as the offense was rolling. Tajh Molock would break loose for a 39 yard touchdown run to get it started. The Vikings then extended their lead in the second quarter after Tre Lake would take a counter in from just a couple yards out. CSD continued to force their will on the ground. Molock would add his second score of the game off a toss as the lead swelled to 29-0 early in the third quarter. The Vikings then capped off the night with a beautiful touchdown pass from Tyler Harding to Jake Morris, splitting the safety and corner back in the left side of the endzone. Perryville would score a touchdown late, but it wasn’t nearly enough as CSD closed the game out for the win.
