Blue Raiders blanket Bucs for first state title appearance

The Woodbridge Blue Raiders blanketed Caravel 21-6 on Friday night in the Division II state semifinals to advance to the first state title game in school history.
Michael Brewer caught an interception to end the first half, and sealed the game with a 44-yard receiving touchdown to seal the game in the win. Troy Haynes and Jamon Kane finished with a rushing touchdown each for Woodbridge. The Blue Raiders defense stymied Caravel’s offense, allowing two field goals in multiple Buc redzone trips.
The Blue Raiders are on to the title game, where they will face the winner of Saturday’s Friends/St. Georges semifinal. The championship game will be at 5:30 pm at the University of Delaware.
