Bizzell Dazzles as Lake Tops Indian River

Lake Forest earned their 2nd win of the season Friday night when they traveled to Dagsboro and defeated Indian River 26-7. The win improves the Spartans to 2-7, while the loss drops the Indians to 2-7.

Indian River started off the game strong running the first kick for 6 and hit the extra point to go up 7-0. The Spartans didn’t take long to respond as they bounced back with a touchdown of their own. Lake Forest elected to go for two, but fell short and were down 7-6. Gerald Foreman then made a big play for Indian River recovering a fumble for Indians, but they would fall short on their drive and not be able to punch it in. Desuan Bizzell capitalizes off of this and throws to Jaylen Farlow who makes a phenomenal catch. The Spartans capped off the drive with Bizzell going up top to Cameron Lewis with the toe-tapper touchdown. Lake Forest then tallies one more touchdown ending the game with a final of 26-7.

Lake Forest returns to action on Friday when they host Milford for their season finale, while Indian River travels to Sussex Central on Friday.
