Berlin cheerleading team headed to Nationals

The Berlin Seahawks cheerleading team is heading to Nationals at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports for the second year in a row.
The cheerleading team, which is made up of 21 girls this year, is a part of Berlin’s pop warner program.
It’s a non-profit and is open to anyone who wants to join.
The program hopes to gives these girls experience to build their leadership skills as well as teamwork and discipline.
Nationals starts December 5th and during that week around 100 teams participate.
Vice President Debbie Donahue tells us the girls have been working on their routine they have planned for quite some time.
“They did year round this year. They actually haven’t had a break from this time last year, they took off a couple of weeks but they have tiered from August 2015 all the way through until now with practicing and waiting to go to nationals again,” explains Donahue.
All donations made will go straight to the program and to watch the girls cheer at Nationals you can catch them on ESPN on December 5th.
