Bayside Boys Soccer All-Stars Battle To Draw
Easton high school played host to the 2016 Bayside Senior All-Star game for boys soccer, with the North and South squads battling to a 4-4 draw. The game represented the final time any of the players would have the opportunity to play soccer for their respective high schools.
The South would strike first after a corner kick was volleyed home by Stephen Decatur’s Andy McKanhan.The North would come right back. First, 3x conference player of the year Carlos Hernandez would score on a break away up the right side. Shortly after that, the Easton star would send a free kick into the box that would be headed home by Queen Anne’s Austin Thomas. The South would tie the match at the break off a score from Washington’s Mohamed Jalal. It would be Easton’s other senior that took over to open the second half of the game as Andrew Daly would score two goals in a span of 10 minutes. The South would then fight their way back, getting a strike to the near post from Bennett’s Peter Gutoskey and then the games final goal from Parkside’s Sean Fisher.
