Atlantic General Hospital, or AGH, teamed up with Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church to offer free health screenings and provide health information.
Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church was flooded with people as several health screenings were provided, such as bone density screenings, Dermascan skin checks, flu shots, blood pressure tests, as well as Neuropathy foot screenings.
All of these services were given for free. AGH partners with local faith based organizations to reach out to members in the community.
AGH Representative, Donna Nordstrom, tells 47 ABC that AGH is a community based hospital and that their goal is promote health and wellness in the community. She says, “That’s why we always give back to the community. So this is a great opportunity working with our faith based organizations, bringing these services to the community.”
At the event, AGH also told 47 ABC that they will be breaking ground in July to open a new regional cancer care center in Berlin.
