At least nine percent of Lower Shore residents remain uninsured

As of Tuesday, open enrollment for health insurance is underway for two states on Delmarva.
Maryland and Delaware have officially begun their open enrollment period.
According to the Maryland Health Connection, more than 4,800 people enrolled last year on the Lower Eastern Shore.
The Worcester County Health Department reports roughly nine percent of eligible residents in Worcester, Wicomico Somerset remain uninsured.
