79-year-old pedestrian robbed while on a walk

Troopers say the incident happened around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday. The man was reportedly leaving Kings Market and was in the Cedar Village Development when he heard a male ask him if he needed assistance.

At that point, police say the suspect struck the elderly man from behind, knocking him to the ground and stealing his wallet. The suspect, described solely as a black male, then fled.

The victim contacted police once he returned home, and was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
