Wicomico County cautiously eyeing Matthew

With early projections showing that the Eastern Shore of Maryland may be affected by Hurricane Matthew, Salisbury and Wicomico County officials met Tuesday to discuss ‘what if scenarios’.

Part of their meetings include a conference call with the Maryland Emergency Management Agency to discuss the conditions that would warrant setting up an emergency evacuation center.

Because the forecasts can change officials said it’s too early to make any decisions, but if they do they will be announced Thursday*at the earliest.
