Wi-Hi Volleyball Takes 5 Set Thriller Over Easton

The Wicomico high school volleyball team earned a nice conference win Tuesday night when they topped Easton 3-2 in a 5 set thriller. The win improves the Indians to 4-4, while the loss drops the Warriors to 2-6.

The Warriors would come to play and use strong play at the net by Quinn Jennings and Anna Slaughenoupt to grab a 2 sets to 1 lead. The Tribe would rally in the 4th though as Jazmyn Moye-Watson and Sherria Mills would control the net, and power their team to a winner takes all 5th. There, Easton would grab the early lead before Wi-Hi would fight back to within 13-12. With the game in the balance, Briana Branch would close out the game with 3 straight aces for the home team.

Wi-Hi returns to action on Monday when they host Parkside, while Easton host Colonel Richardson on Thursday.
